Former NBA player Patrick Ewing has tested positive for coronavirus, and his diagnosis seemingly has made the NBA legend realize how serious the virus is. The 57 year old former New York Knick’s player born in Kingston, Jamaica revealed he is under isolation in a hospital.
Ewing hopes that by revealing his diagnosis that people who are not taking the virus seriously to now open their eyes. Ewing who is currently a coach of Georgetown University Men’s basketball revealed this statement of the off-court fight for his health:

“I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones. I want to thank the healthcare workers and everyone on the front lines. I’ll be fine and we will all get through this.”
So far, Ewing is the only member to test positive within the organization which he coaches.
