Gayle King is receiving much backlash from the black community for her questioning Kobe Bryant’s legacy in an interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie. Snoop’s backlash appears to have been viewed as one of the worse on Gayle. Now, you have the former National Security Adviser Susan Rice getting involved as she told Snoop to back off of Gayle. Lets start from the beginning from the interview that lit the fire under Gayle’s butt by the black community.
The question as it was asked to Leslie in an interview by Gayle went as this:
It’s been said that his legacy is complicated because of sexual assault charge which was dismissed in 2003, 2004. Is it complicated for as a woman, as a WNBA player ?
Rap artist Boosie pissed off to the top, and said this in rage regarding Gayle asking that question:
Leslie responded to Gayle’s question said this:
Its not complicated for me at all. There’s a few time we’ve been in a club at the same time. Kobe is not the kind of guy never been like… Lisa go get that girl or tell or send her this.” I have other NBA friends that are like that. Kobe, he was never like that. I just have have ever seen him being the kind of person do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way.
Snoop Dogg’s comments seemingly sending that sting to Gayle for her questioning of Kobe’s legacy went like this to her:
“What do you gain from that? I swear to god, we the worst. We the f—— worst. We expect more from you, Gayle,” Snoop Dogg said in the video. “Why y’all attacking us? We your people! You ain’t come after f—— Harvey Weinstein, asking them dumb-a– questions. I get sick of y’all.”
Snoop went further in saying to Gayle…”back off, b—-, before we come get you. Snoop also went into calling Gayle a funky, dog head b**ch. Fist pumps and online applause were sent out to Snoop for his comments. But, Susan Rice who held one of the country’s top position in the government was not happy with Snoop’s comments. Rice apparently feeling the effects of Snoop’s stinging comments to Gayle said this in support of the journalist:
Gayle King is one of the most principled, fair and tough journalists alive,” Snoop, back the **** off. You come for @GayleKing, you come against an army. You will lose, and it won’t be pretty.
What army is Rice speaking of we wonder.
