Snoop Dogg Apologizes To Gayle King For Being Disrespectful

Snoop Dogg apologizes to gayle king

Well, that was really fast. It has not even been a full week as of yet, and Snoop Dogg is apologizing to Gayle King for his comments. The rapper railed into Gayle after she questioned the late Kobe Bryant’s legacy based on sexual allegations of the past. Gayle had the black community do a full head spin, and the backlash flowed in like Niagara Falls. It was relentless especially after Snoop’s criticism of the journalist.

Oprah went out defending Gayle saying the journalist is not doing well. Then came the death threats Gayle was allegedly receiving. Gayle says that her interview was taken out of context by her news station. But, many are saying what was taken out of context. She did ask the question head on and brought up the dark topic of Kobe’s past. Snoop for his part of the backlash towards Gayle issued a public apology. Snoop on his apology from Vibe:

“Two wrongs don’t make no right. When you’re wrong, you gotta fix it. So with that being said: Gayle King, I publicly tore your down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions….me being angry at questions that you asked. Ummm, [I] overreacted. Should have handled it way different than that. I was raised way better than that. So I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out of your name and just being disrespectful.

I didn’t mean for it to be like that,” he continued. “I was just expressing myself for a friend that wasn’t here to defend himself. A lot of people look up to me and they love me and they appreciate me, so I want to let them know that anytime you mess up, it’s okay to fix it, it’s okay to man up and say that you’re wrong.”

It’s a big move by Snoop to apologize to Gayle. It may just defuse any tension, and threats towards her.
