A guilty verdict has been handed down to RnB singer R Kelly on charges ranging from sex trafficking, racketeering, kidnapping, obstruction of justice, and sex acts with minors. The disgraced RnB singer is looking at anywhere between 10 years and life in prison. Kelly’s fate was deliberated by a panel of jurors consisting of seven men and four women in nine hours.
It has been decades of stories involving R Kelly engaging in sexual acts with underage girls, brainwashing them and holding some against their will. In addition to that then came the stories of Kelly using females like his sex slaves. It was revealed that he would locked them in a room, and decided when they would eat and pleasure him. Kelly also according to his victims demanded they wear baggy clothes to hide their female assets from other men.
A reported 50 witnesses provided details in a Brooklyn court room of Kelly’s predatory, pedophilia, controlling, and kinky sex acts. One witness who worked for a radio station stated that Kelly offered her the opportunity to interview him. A big opportunity for a young apprentice. The woman revealed that she was locked up for at least two days without food and water before being sexually assaulted by the singer.
Acting attorney Jacqueline Kasulis said this of the verdict on Kelly:
“Today’s guilty verdict forever brands R. Kelly as a predator, who used his fame and fortune to prey on the young, the vulnerable and the voiceless for his own sexual gratification.”
The system is yet to be done with Kelly. He faces more charges of child pornography and obstruction in Chicago. He is also looking at state charges in Illinois and Minnesota. Gloria Allred who represented some of Kelly’s victims didn’t miss the opportunity the slam the singer, saying:
Attorney Allred representing victims: I have been with these cases for 46 years, Mrs Kelly is the worst, he used his celebrity power, more powerful more dangerous than others for under age victims, thank to jury, them for trusting, for the courage#RKellyTrial #RKelly pic.twitter.com/NSaeEL7Oig
