Laurence Fishburne Says Latest Matrix’s Movie Was Not That Good But Not Bad Either

Laurence Fishburne

Laurence Fishburne has done many movies before entering The Matrix franchise, but it is The Matrix franchise which placed him on another level of stardom. So, when he was not selected to return to the franchise for its latest installment, The Matrix Resurrections– it was surprising.

After all, Fishburne playing Morpheus made The Matrix’s franchise was one factor in making the movie as good as it was. They didn’t bring back Fishburne to reprise his role in  The Matrix Resurrections– but they brought back Jada Pinkette who cannot act if her life depended on it. Still, being the professional that he is, Fisburne was not bitter when asked about the quality and revival The Matrix’s franchise. Speaking to Variety, Fisburne had this to say about The Matrix Resurrections:

“It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. And it wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be,” Fishburne. But I thought Carrie-Anne and Keanu really did their thing. Yeah, that’s what I thought.”

I personally thought “The Matrix Resurrections” was garbage. I missed the old smith, and Fisburne as Morpheus, and I didn’t like the new look for Neo. And, now they have Trinity flying along side Neo! This I feel is over kill of the franchise.

Thoughts? Did you like The Matrix Resurrections?
