Val Kilmer fair to say is happy to be in the position he is in with his battle with throat cancer. It’s not the greatest position, and he is not the Val Kilmer you once knew- but he is has life and is surviving. A better look than the other. Kilmer fitted with a voice box now struggles to speak, but is determined for the world to hear him. Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014, and has since undergone a tracheotomy struggles to do what many of us take for granted each day, having our voices.
Now 61 years old, Kilmer in a new documentary film is sharing years of personal moments in his life for the world to see. I don’t know how the wave of the documentary will be, but I can see just watching the the trailer builds up a feeling of sadness and many emotions. How unfair, and unfortunate life can be but yet there are those in life who don’t value what is important and value what is not.
Overjoyed that his documentary will be released on the platform he likes, Kilmer said:
“As a lifelong filmmaker it thrills me to say the film will be in theaters July 23. And, as a person who also enjoys getting cozy, I’m possibly more happy that it will be on [Amazon Prime] Aug. 6. Here’s to giving every day the opportunity to be the most beautiful of your life.”
Kilmer as best as he could touches on his latest venture through the aid of his voice box.
