Gal Gadot, the actress who plays Wonder Woman is set to cash some more serious checks from the franchise as a third Wonder Woman film is already in the works. All Warner Bros needed was two days after the release of Wonder Woman 1984 to make the decision to launch another adventure in the franchise.
Major success was scored in Wonder Woman 1984 in theatres and on HBO Max. The second installment in the franchise brought in a whopping $16.7 million North American box office. And, lets remember again- that is during the pandemic. Andy Forssell, head of Warner Media’s direct-to-consumer business had this to say:
“‘Wonder Woman 1984’ broke records and exceeded our expectations across all of our key viewing and subscriber metrics in its first 24 hours on the service, and the interest and momentum we’re seeing indicates this will likely continue well beyond the weekend. “During these very difficult times, it was nice to give families the option of enjoying this uplifting film at home, where theater viewing wasn’t an option.”
Still no decision as of yet on whether Wonder Woman 3 would be going to the box office, but we can suspect with all that has happened with this pandemic-it just may. How many of you are comfortable going back to the movie theatres even after a vaccine has been released to combat Coronavirus
