Well, it looks like where Lebron James goes, J.R. Smith(34 years old) will be behind him. There is a good chance J.R. Smith’s Lakers’ jersey is being primed as this post is written. According to reports- Smith is close to signing on the dotted line in joining Lebron James(35 years old) yet again for another championship run. Whether Lebron braves the Coronavirus pandemic storm in taking a risk at this year’s playoffs is another thing.
But, one can gambled on that J.R. Smith will remain on the Lakers’ roster until life gets back to normal. There are no secrets sitting in a box of Lebron’s love in playing with Smith on the floor as his side assassin. The NBA despite the wrath of the Coronavirus still has the light green to resume the NBA season after a mild break since COVID-19 surfaced.
Bradley Avery selected life before games by opting out of the NBA’s restart to wrap up up the 2019-2020 season. Avery’s decision to step out for the remainder of the season allowed Lebron to persuade the Lakers’ head office to sign J.R. Smith. Now, there are no affirmation that Lebron requested that Lakers’ management snag Smith- but we can bet he had some hand in Smith’s joining the team. From ESPN:
Smith and the Lakers were working through the final details of a contract on Monday in Los Angeles, and there are believed to be no hurdles to a finalized deal
