The Los Angeles Lakers are the NBA’s 2020 Champions, but does most really care. Lebron James is no doubt over the moon after securing his fourth NBA championship- which places him in talks as one of the greats to play the game.
Still though- Lebron is trailing the late Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. It is doubtful Lebron will ever tie Jordan in NBA titles or beat him. After all, Lebron is 35 years old and will be turning 36 in December. Most great NBA players retire in the mid-30’s. Should Lebron make it his mission to match Jordan’s NBA titles…he will be in his 40’s trying to complete such a mission.
This year’s NBA playoffs were hosted in Orlando, Florida what is described as a Bubble. Qualifying teams faced off against each other in one arena with no fans to curb the risk of attracting COVID-19.
Some NBA players refused to play the remainder of the NBA season, and playoffs due to fears of COVID-19. NBA players having dropped out of the remainder of the season with lack of fans nor home-court advantage- the question of this year’s NBA Champions should be in question. Personally, I was too busy trying to keep up with the ever moving pieces involving COVID-19. Did you watch the NBA playoffs this year ?
