Raptors’ Coach Nick Nurse Blamed For Raptors Loss

The Toronto Raptors had a win in the bag last night with just two minutes to go. They were up by five points, and on a tremendous run with the crowd on their side roaring through Scotia-bank Arena, but then Nick Nurse happened. Yes, you heard that right, Nick Nurse- the Raptors coach blew a hole in the teams tire last night by calling a time out when the Raptors had momentum and had the Warriors gassed. Nurse took a time out when his team never needed it.

They were up by five points, and the Warriors were having trouble keeping up with the Raptors as they pushed to their NBA Finals win. Nurse helped the Warriors by taking a time out. It allowed the Warriors to rest and regroup. After the time as both teams returned back to the floor- the Raptors lost momentum, and the Warriors picked up from there knocking down three pointers to take the lead in the game. After a loss to the Warriors they should have had- Nurse was asked during the after game press conference as to  why he called a time out with his team on a run- he had this to say:

“Those two we took at the three-minute mark . . . We had two free ones that you lose under the three-minute mark. And we’d just came across and just decided to give those guys a rest. And we had back-to-back ones there that we would have lost under the three-minute mark and just thought we could use the extra energy push.”

NBA legend Charles Barkley has a different take saying no one include Nurse is not to blame for the Raptors loss. Listen to him below:
